Payments and Refunds

AgentPaywall Payments and Refunds Policy

This policy describes how USDC payments are handled on AgentPaywall, how transaction proof is verified, and when refunds may be available.

Last updated: April 22, 2026

Important: These policy pages are a strong operational baseline, but they are not legal advice. Review them with a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction before going live.

1. Scope

This policy applies to blockchain-based API call payments routed through AgentPaywall, including payment verification workflows, platform fee treatment, and refund handling.

2. Pricing and Fees

API providers set per-call pricing in USDC. Platform fees, if any, are disclosed by the applicable endpoint configuration or dashboard interface.

  • Prices are shown before payment proof is submitted.
  • Blockchain network fees are separate and paid by the sender wallet.
  • You are responsible for confirming chain, recipient, and amount before sending.

3. Payment Flow

Paid API calls typically return a payment-required response containing payment details. After payment is sent on-chain, the caller retries with the transaction signature as proof.

If verification succeeds, access is granted. If verification fails, the request is rejected and an error reason is returned where possible.

4. Blockchain Finality

Confirmed blockchain payments are generally irreversible. AgentPaywall cannot unilaterally reverse confirmed transfers or recover funds sent to incorrect addresses.

Because finality is chain-level behavior, your refund rights are limited and depend on policy eligibility criteria below.

5. Failed and Mismatched Payments

Common payment failure scenarios include:

  • Underpayment relative to endpoint price.
  • Payment sent to an incorrect wallet or unsupported network.
  • Duplicate or replayed transaction signatures.
  • Expired or unverifiable proof payloads.

In most cases, failed validation does not imply funds are recoverable. Validation and chain correctness remain the payer's responsibility.

6. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be considered at our discretion in limited situations, such as:

  • Duplicate payments for the same successfully fulfilled API call.
  • Confirmed payment where service was not delivered due to verified platform fault.
  • Material mismatch between disclosed endpoint price and charged amount.

Refunds are generally not available for:

  • Incorrect recipient, chain, token, or user-side wallet mistakes.
  • Expected API output disagreement where service was technically delivered.
  • Downtime, delays, or failures caused by third-party chains or wallet providers.

7. Refund Process and Timelines

To request a refund, contact support with transaction signature, endpoint id, timestamp, and issue description. We may request additional evidence to verify eligibility.

  • Submit requests within 14 days of the disputed transaction.
  • Initial review target: within 5 business days.
  • Approved refunds are issued on-chain to a verified wallet address.

8. No Card Chargeback Model

AgentPaywall does not rely on card payment rails for per-call transactions. Traditional card chargeback frameworks do not apply to blockchain-settled USDC payments.

9. Taxes and Records

Users and API providers are responsible for determining and meeting their own tax, bookkeeping, and reporting obligations in their jurisdictions.

AgentPaywall may provide transaction logs for convenience, but you remain responsible for maintaining authoritative financial records.

10. Fraud and Risk Controls

We may delay, reject, flag, or investigate transactions to prevent abuse, sanctions exposure, money laundering risk, or security threats. We may suspend accounts where risk indicators are significant.

11. Policy Changes

We may revise this policy as product capabilities, legal requirements, and risk controls evolve. Updated versions are posted with a revised “Last updated” date.
